Collide is a creative studio based in Nashville, dedicated to helping people and brands communicate with lasting impact through the strategic use of design and language.
The philosophy behind Collide is both about the process and the results of a successful collaboration to achieve powerful communication solutions for your brand message. Once communicated effectively, every brand message will elicit the intended reaction in the target audience. This is something we refer to as ”The Moment of Impact.” You understand your brand, your product, your service, your organization, we understand how to communicate it effectively, and implement the message across all relevant visual media.
Kevin Tucker is Collide’s co-founder & Creative Director. A Tennessee native, he’s spent the last quarter century in Nashville designing, collaborating, leading, and continually learning. In between client projects he’s also been active in the professional community, serving as a mentor for the Entrepreneur Center and on the board for the local chapter of AIGA, where he co-created two of their keystone event series, as well as regularly working with local schools to help guide graphic design students toward career readiness. While he regards his work as more of a “summer blockbuster” than “awards season” he’s been honored with a few accolades over the years, including appearances in the Print Regional Design Annual, AIGA Case Awards, several Addy awards, with some of his work outside of Collide attaining a Best in Show: Interactive award in 2015, and several of his album designs have graced gold and platinum award plaques up and down Music Row. A proud husband and father, Kevin is also active in his local church community where he leads a study group. He likes long walks along the beach, and why are you still reading this? Each project is different, but for most projects, we walk through four key phases to assure that what we do for you has the best chance of making a lasting impact.
Collaboration is at the core of our process, and the first step involves a lot of questions. We dig deep to find something true about the brand, the thing that is most relevant and impactful for your audience to believe in, and we pull it out, and cast it an angle so that the light hits it interesting ways to draw them in, so that it transforms for them into something tangible, something real. This is what we call “the moment of impact.” All of Collide’s services center on design, including but not limited to brand design, advertising, marketing collateral, corporate communication, website, application, and presentation design, and projects frequently include a consulting component related to the effective use of language and other elements within the scope of brand communication.
